Northeast Dallas
Although Northeast Dallas consist of an large area of the city this page will only discuss the area that runs along Interstate 635 between Walnut Hill Ln and Interstate 30 which is about 30% Black. This area is lined with several 1980s constructed apartment complexes which can be accessed at the Walnut Hill, Jupiter, Ferguson, and La Prada Exits.
Northeast Dallas is in good proximity to an abundance of light industrial jobs in Garland, and office jobs in North Dallas and Downtown. Household incomes here average about $23,000 a year with about 14% of adults holding a college degree. Median rent average ranges between $600 to $700 a month.
